Metro North Trains Collide in Connecticut

Two Metro-North passenger trains heading in opposite directions collided during rush hour this evening in southwestern Connecticut, damaging both trains and leaving dozens seriously injured.  Sixty people were taken to multiple hospitals. Drunk Driver Kills One and Injures Two in the Bronx

A sixteen-year-old girl was killed and two others were injured when they were struck by a car in the Bronx yesterday afternoon. Driver Dies After LIRR Train Strikes Car

Yesterday afternoon a driver was killed when his car was struck by a Long Island Rail Road train near the Brentwood station.  The 63-year-old driver was taken to Southside Hospital where he died from his injuries. An investigation by the LIRR is determining whether the gates were operating properly at the time of the accident.
