One man was killed this morning and one is in critical condition after being struck by subway trains in separate incidents.
The first incident occurred at 2:02 a.m. today at 174th Street Station at Southern Boulevard in the Bronx. A man was on the tracks at the northbound 2 train’s platform, when he was struck by an approaching train. He was taken to St. Barnabas Hospital, where officials say he is in critical condition.
One straphanger who witnessed the event caught some of the accident on camera, and uploaded a video to Facebook this morning that shows the victim pinned between the subway car and the platform.
