Driver Identified in Queens Pedestrian Car Crash

Rene Hernandez, 43, was identified as the driver in a car crash that left a 75-year-old woman critically injured, officials said.

 

The woman, whose name was not released, was taken to Elmhurst Hospital where she was treated for critical, but non-life threatening injuries.

 

The incident happened on 99th Street and 63rd Street. Hernandez struck the woman while she was crossing the street.

 

Police arrested and charged him with driving with a suspended license and failing to yield to a pedestrian.
