Hit-And-Run Driver Injures Midtown Barber

A male barber who was only identified by his first name, Louis, was in serious condition after he was struck by a hit-and-run vehicle in Midtown Manhattan. The victim had apparently fainted and fell into the street when the incident occurred, officials and witnesses said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital with life-threatening injuries, officials said.

The victim worked at the Glamour Center barber shop on 35th Street for several months, the barbershop’s manager, Eddie, told reporters.
