Woman Pushing Stroller With Child Struck By Bus In Queens

A woman was struck by a city bus when she was pushing a stroller with her 3-year-old girl across 46th Avenue at 111th Street in North Corona, officials said. The Q23 bus was traveling on 111th Street when it made a right turn onto 46th Avenue and struck the victim.

The woman, 43, whose name has not been released, was pinned under the front wheels. The bus missed the stroller with the child, who was not harmed, officials said.

The victim was taken to Elmhurst Hospital Center in critical condition, officials said. Her left leg had been crushed by the accident, police said.

The bus driver stayed at the scene. No charges or arrests have been made.
