Two Pedestrians Struck On Sidewalk After Car Jumps Curb

Two pedestrians were hurt after a car jumped a curb and struck them near West 96th Street on the Upper West Side, officials said.

 

A Toyota Rav4 jumped the curb and struck a 63-year-old woman and a 59-year-old man, officials said.

 

The woman was found unconscious when medical responders arrived at the scene. She was taken to Mount Sinai-St. Luke’s Hospital where she is in critical condition. The man was taken to the same hospital and listed in stable condition, officials said.

 

The driver remained at the scene.
