A 79-year-old man was hit and killed when he crossed the street on Northern Boulevard in Flushing, officials said. The man was crossing Prince Street and Northern Boulevard against the light, officials said.
The 56-year-old female driver of a Ford Explorer SUV was traveling westbound when she struck the victim, officials said.
The victim was taken to New York Hospital Queens where he was pronounced dead. The driver stayed at the scene. No immediate arrests or charges have been made, police said.
