Eight People Injured After Bus Overturns In The Bronx

Eight people were hurt after a school bus overturned on the Bruckner Expressway in the Bronx, officials said. The accident happened near East Tremont Avenue in Throgs Neck.

The bus driver, a teacher, a matron and five school kids were taken to Jacobi Medical Center. They suffered minor injuries, officials said.

Five special needs students from P.S. 114 in the Bronx were on board the bus, according to a Little Lisa Bus Company spokesman. The driver reported the bus was sideswiped by a black Camry, the spokesman said.
