Cyclist Critically Injured After Dump Truck Accident In Brooklyn

A 35-year-old male cyclist was critically injured after he was struck by a dump truck driver in downtown Brooklyn, officials said. The accident happened at Jay and Tillary streets around 7 a.m. on Tuesday.

 

The victim was taken to Methodist Hospital with head and leg trauma. He is likely to survive, officials said.

 

The truck driver, a 35-year-old male, was attempting to make a right-turn when he struck the cyclist going the same direction on Tillary. The driver stayed at the scene.

 

No immediate charges or arrests have been made.
