Anna Colon, 73, of Brooklyn, was killed when she was struck by an MTA bus on the Lower East Side, according to sources.
The bus was turning off Avenue D onto East Houston Street when Colon was struck, police said. Colon was not in the crosswalk at the time of the accident.
The driver of the bus, whose identity was not released, stayed at the scene.
No immediate charges or arrests have been made.
