Woman Injured After Falling Through Floor In East Harlem Restaurant

A woman was injured after she feel through the floor of an East Harlem restaurant’s basement, officials said. The incident occurred at Joy Burger Bar on 110th Street and Lexington Avenue.

 

According to reports, a woman who was visiting the restaurant with her husband fell through an open hole where a metal panel provides access to the basement. The woman ended up seven to eight feet below in the basement.

 

Firefighters had to rescue her from the basement through a small door on the side of the building. She was taken out of the building on a stretcher.
