Hoboken Train Crash Kills 3, Injures 100

At least three people are dead and more than 100 people are injured after a New Jersey Transit train crashed into the Hoboken station during Thursday morning’s rush hour, officials said.

According to a preliminary investigation, the cause of the crash may be accidental or caused by operator error, officials said.

The train apparently went through a bumper stop at the end of the track. The train ended up stopping through the middle of the platform.

The train “just felt like it never stopped. It didn’t slow down. It didn’t brake,” said Jamie Weatherhead-Sal, a passenger in the train’s first car.

The attorneys at Morgan Levine Dolan have represented many people injured in mass transit accidents.  During the early stages of the investigation, it is imperative to get private attorneys involved in the process.  Too many times, the mass transit carrier performs the investigation and many pieces of evidence are either tampered with or ignored.

We have recovered millions of dollars for our injured clients.  If a loved one has been injured or killed in a train accident, contact Jared Levine of Morgan Levine Dolan at 212-785-5115 today.
