Brooklyn Man Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver

Francis Perez, 28, was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn, officials said. Perez was crossing Avenue V when he was struck by the car traveling west on the street.

Emergency responders found Perez lying unresponsive in the street. He was taken to Coney Island Hospital with severe head trauma. He was pronounced dead at the hospital, officials said.

The car’s driver stopped at the corner after the crash before fleeing the scene, according to a witness.

Police are searching for Brian Young, 47 who is a suspect in the crash. The police later found the suspect’s car parked two blocks away from the scene, which was confirmed by Young’s mother.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
