Seven Children Injured After Pickup Truck Strikes SUV

Seven children were hospitalized after a pickup truck struck their SUV at Peninsula Boulevard and Lyon Place in Lynbrook, Long Island. One child was airlifted to a hospital in serious condition with head trauma. The conditions of the other children are unclear.

 

The children, ages nine to 14, were all passengers in a Ford Explorer. There was also a male driver and a female passenger in their car. The pickup truck driver was alone and unharmed.

 

According to police, the pickup truck made a left turn onto Lyon Place and struck the SUV going southbound on Peninsula Boulevard.

 

No charges or arrests have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
