Police Cruiser Crashes, Injures Four In Massapequa

Two police officers and two civilians were hurt after a crash involving officers who were responding to a fire in North Massapequa. A Nassau County Police car collided into another car, which in turn, slammed into a store front.

A male pedestrian, whose identity was not released, was in critical condition after he went airborne and landed on top of a parked car, according to reports. The driver of the vehicle that was struck was a 63-year-old woman who suffered minor injuries.

Police officials and witnesses conflicted over whether the patrol car of the officers involved had their lights and sirens on. The crash happened at a busy roadway.
