A 44-year-old woman was injured after a motorcyclist struck her while she was crossing the street at Flatbush Avenue and Sterling Place, police said.
The motorcyclist then lost control of his vehicle and slammed into a tree, officials said.
The victim was taken to New York Methodist Hospital where she was in critical condition with head trauma.
The motorcyclist stayed at the scene where he was treated, officials said.
