Man Struck, Dragged By Two Cars In Queens

A 22-year-old man was critically injured after he was struck by a hit-and-run driver and dragged for a block by a driver in another car, officials said.

The victim, whose name has not been released, was at Dry Harbor Road and Woodhaven Boulevard in Rego Park when he was struck.

After the first crash, the victim was laying on the street in the center lane of Woodhaven Boulevard when a 2000 Mazda MPV struck him and dragged him for a block, officials said. The Mazda’s driver remained at the scene.

The victim was conscious and alert when emergency responders arrived at the scene. He was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital in critical condition although he was upgraded to stable.

Police are still looking for the hit-and-run driver. No immediate charges or arrests have been made.
