Man Injured After Ambulance Crash In East Village

A man was critically injured after he was struck by an ambulance in the East Village on Monday afternoon, officials said. The ambulance was responding to a call when the incident happened. The driver turned onto East 14th Street and Second Avenue when the victim was struck.

 

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

 

According to reports, the ambulance did not have lights and sirens on during the time of the crash.

 

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
