A 50-year-old male pedestrian was fatally struck by an SUV in Queens, officials said. The pedestrian was crossing the street at Springfield Boulevard when a 2014 Kia Sorento struck him while making a left-turn onto Springfield from Murdock Avenue.
The man was rushed to a local hospital where he was later pronounced dead from his injuries, officials said.
The 53-year-old female driver remained at the scene. No immediate charges or arrests have been made.
