Hit-And-Run Bus Driver Kills One Pedestrian, Injures Another

A married couple were injured, one fatally, after a grey bus driver struck them on Flatbush Avenue between Avenue U and Avenue V in Marine Park, officials said.

Angel Sagardia, 47, was taken to Kings County Hospital, where he was pronounced dead from severe head trauma and internal injuries. His wife, Samantha Sagardia, 50, was taken to the same hospital and is listed in critical condition with severe head trauma and internal injuries.

The Ford Omnibus driver was traveling southbound on Flatbush Avenue when the bus ran into the two pedestrians who were crossing the street from the Kings Plaza Mall. The driver continued to drive on.

Police later found the vehicle parked near Rogers and Tilden Avenues in East Flatbush. However, the driver remains at large.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
