Driver Injured After Collision With Box Truck In Brooklyn

The driver of an out-of-control car was seriously injured on Thursday after the car crashed into the back of a box truck in Brooklyn, according to reports.

A worker who was making deliveries from the truck and the truck’s driver stepped onto the sidewalk on Louisiana Avenue in East New York when the car collided into their double-parked vehicle.

The worker was nearly struck by the car, but he was able to jump out of the car’s path in time.

The truck’s driver, who identified himself as Mike, said he rushed to the car and tried to keep the driver awake while he called emergency services.

The driver had to be extricated from the car by firefighters. He suffered head trauma and was taken to Brookdale Hospital, officials said. He was in stable condition.
