Woman Fatally Struck By Car In Staten Island

Sauchu Chen, 71, was killed when she was struck by a car while crossing the street in Todt Hill, Staten Island, officials said. Chen was crossing Westwood Avenue and Todt Hill Road when the driver of a Mercury sedan attempted to make a left turn and struck her.

Chen was rushed to Staten Island University Hospital North where she died from her injuries, officials said.

The driver, who has not been identified, stayed at the scene. No arrests or charges have been made.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
