One Killed, 2 Injured In Car Crash In Huntington Station

Karen Holden, 56, was killed in a car crash on Jericho Turnpike in Huntington Station, officials said. Her husband, William Holden, 57, was seriously injured while their son, Robert Holden, 23, suffered back injuries. They were both listed in stable condition.

Holden was driving in a 2016 Ford Escape with her husband, who was the driver, and her son when their car was struck by a 2010 Ford Explorer at a stoplight on Jericho Turnpike Sunday evening.

A 2014 Honda odyssey driven by Hyun Chung, 59, of Melville, was sideswiped by the Explorer tool. Chung was not injured, according to police.

The Explorer’s driver, Ryan Gurecki, 34, of Lindenhurst, was charged with driving while intoxicated.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
