Cyclist Killed By Hit-And-Run Driver In Williamsburg

Matthew Von Ohlen, 35, was fatally struck by a hit-and-run driver as he was riding his bicycle in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, officials said. He was on a bike lane at Grand Street near Manhattan Avenue when a black Chevy Camaro with tinted windows struck him, officials said.

A surveillance camera showed that the car ran over the victim and dragged him along with his bike along the street. After the Camaro left the scene, another vehicle came up and stopped before the gruesome scene.

Von Ohlen was rushed to Bellevue Hospital with severe body trauma where he was pronounced dead.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
