Two children and their grandparents were injured after a BMW driver struck their car in East New York, Brooklyn and fled the scene, officials said.
A 3-year-old, 10-year-old and their grandparents, whose identity has not been released, were taken to Brookdale Hospital. They were treated for minor injuries.
The BMW was driving down Dewitt Avenue and tried to swerve around a parked taxi cab at Snediker Avenue when the car struck a Lincoln town car with the grandparents and their grandchildren inside.
The BMW drove on until it stopped when it got wedged beneath a red SUV. The BMW driver and a passenger fled on foot. They were pursued by local residents but they managed to get away.
No charges or arrests have been made.
