Three Men Killed In Separate Car Crashes Around Queens

Three men were killed in two separate car crashes on Monday, officials said.

Carlos Diaz, 39, of the Bronx, and his 39-year-old passenger, whose name has not been released, were killed when their white BMW jumped a guardrail and struck a tree on the Grand Central Parkway in East Elmhurst, police said.

The driver was heading toward the exit ramp, but missed the turn into the exit and hit a guardrail near the 111th Street exit. The car flipped over a rail, rolled down an embankment and struck a tree near Astoria and Ditmars Boulevards, police said. Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

In another crash in Sunnyside, Bruce Lanzer, 53, was killed when a truck collided with his car at Review Avenue and 37th Street around 8 p.m.

Lanzer was taken to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the truck stayed at the scene.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
