One Man Dead, 6 Injured In Bronx Car Crash

Michael Rhone, 39, was killed and six others were injured in two-car collision in the Williamsbridge, Bronx early Sunday, officials said.

Rhone was driving eastbound in a Cadillac SUV on East. 219th Street when a speeding BMW crashed into him at Bronxwood Avenue around 5 a.m., officials said.

The Cadillac was flipped on its side by the impact. The BMW was a total wreck.

Rhone was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center where he was pronounced dead, officials said.

Rhone had four passengers in his car. Two of his passengers, a 16-year-old boy and a 30-year-old man, were also taken to Jacobi Medical Center where they were listed in stable condition. The other two passengers, two men, ages 20 and 28, were taken to an area hospital. Their conditions were not immediately known.

The 28-year-old driver of the BMW and his 29-year-old female passenger were also taken to Jacobi Medical Center, officials said. They were both listed in critical condition.

No arrests or charges have been made.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
