Hit-And-Run Driver Fatally Strikes Woman In The Bronx

A woman was killed in a hit-and-run crash in the Bronx on Sunday morning, officials said.

Sharon Smith, 67, of Castle Hill, was crossing East Gun Hill Road at White Plains Road around 1 a.m. when an SUV struck her, officials said.

The driver continued to drive east on Gun Hill Road.

Smith was taken to Montefiore Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.
