Five pedestrians were injured when a woman who was driving her husband to the hospital lost control of her car, officials said. The pedestrians were crossing at Queens Boulevard and 71st Avenue in Forest Hills when the incident occurred around 3:15 p.m., police said.
The 67-year-old female driver, whose name has not been released, blacked out before losing control of her car, she told investigators.
Four pedestrians were treated for minor injuries. Another pedestrian refused medical attention, officials said.
No charges or summonses were issued in the crash, police said.
