Motorcyclist Killed In Car Collision In West Hempstead

Motorcyclist Christopher Louros, 22, was killed from a collision with a car in West Hempstead on Wednesday morning, officials said.

He was riding his 2006 Suzuki motorcycle westbound on Hempstead Turnpike when a Mercedes Benz made a U-turn on Morton Avenue and crashed into Louros’ motorcycle around midnight, officials said. The Mercedes then hit an unoccupied parked Honda Pilot, police said.

Louros was rushed to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead, officials said said. The 45-year-old driver of the Mercedes did not report any injuries.

Investigators said no apparent criminality was involved. The motorcycle and Mercedes Benz were impounded for brake and safety checks.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
