Man Killed In Southern State Parkway Crash

Vito Errico, 22, of Oceanside, was killed in a car crash on the Southern State Parkway in Malverne, officials said.

 

According to reports, a 2004 Acura collided with a 2006 Toyota Highlander on the parkway around Exit 17 at about 3:41 a.m.. The collision caused the Acura to lose control, entering the south shoulder of the highway and then proceeded to strike several trees and a utility pole.

 

Errico, the driver of the Acura, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. There were no other injuries reported.

 

The investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.
