Hit-And-Run Cab Driver Injures Brooklyn Couple

A woman and her fiance were injured by a green taxi cab as they were crossing the street in Gowanus on Saturday night.

 

The couple, both 46-years-old, were crossing 7th Street and 3rd Avenue when they were struck by a green taxi traveling northbound on 3rd Avenue. The driver allegedly ran a red light before striking the couple, police said.

 

Both injured victims, whose identities have not been released, were taken to Methodist Hospital in Park Slope and listed in stable condition. The male victim suffered elbow, ankle and calf pain, while the female victim victim suffered a head laceration, fractured pelvis, and a broken fibula and tibula.

 

Police are still searching for the driver. No arrests have been made.
