Driver Fatally Hits Cyclist In Clinton Hill

A driver struck and killed a cyclist on the border of Clinton Hill and Bedford-Stuyvesant in Brooklyn, police said. The cyclist, Lauren Davis, 34, was riding against traffic on Classon Avenue, when the driver of a red Fiat struck her while making a left turn onto Lexington Avenue at around 8:40 a.m.

 

Davis was transported to Brooklyn Hospital in Fort Greene, where she suffered massive body trauma, officials said. She was pronounced dead at the hospital.

 

The driver, a 41-year-old woman whose name has not been released, remained at the scene. No arrests or charges have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
