4-Year-Old Boy Dies From Fall Down Elevator Shaft In Park Slope

A 4-year-old boy has died after falling 50 feet down an elevator shaft of a parking garage at 841 Union Street near Seventh Avenue in Park Slope on Wednesday evening, officials said.

 

According to the police and Department of Buildings officials, the boy, whose identity has not been released, fell through a gap between the elevator car and the shaft wall. He was taken to Methodist Hospital where he was pronounced dead from his injuries.

 

The garage staff declined to comment.
