Man Hit And Killed Crossing Major Deegan Expressway

A man was struck and killed while he was crossing the Major Deegan Expressway in the Bronx, police said. The victim, whose identity has not been released, was crossing the expressway eastbound near East 138th Street at around 4 a.m. when the car struck him, officials said.


He was taken to Lincoln Medical Center where he was pronounced dead.


The 28-year-old driver of the 2014 Nissan 370Z, stayed at the scene. No immediate charges were made, officials said.
