A 22-year-old man was left in critical condition after he was struck by an SUV driver as he attempted to cross White Plains Road and 239th Street at around 6:30 p.m. in the Bronx, according to reports.
He was on a marked crosswalk, reports confirmed. The victim was brought to Jacobi Hospital with severe head trauma. He was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene. He was interviewed by investigators. No immediate charges have been made.
