Five People Injured After Police Cruiser-Truck Collision

Five people were hurt, including two police officers, when a patrol car crashed into a food delivery truck near the intersection of 130th Avenue and Inwood Street in South Ozone Park, Queens, officials said.

When first responders came to the scene, they had to remove the roof of the heavily damaged police vehicle in order to free the officers.

The truck collided with a parked car due to the impact of the crash.

Two officers and three other injured people were taken to Jamaica Hospital. The officers were listed in stable condition, and the others suffered non-life-threatening injuries, officials said.
