Alleged Drunk Driver Kills Couple In L.I. Car Crash

William Kear, 67, and his wife, Joanne, 66, were identified as the victims of a crash that involved an alleged drunk driver. Kyle Glinka, 23, has been charged with drunk driving after he was involved in a crash that killed the couple in Ronkonkoma, Long Island, police said.

The Kears were making a left turn at Lakeland Avenue and Ocean Avenue, when they were struck by Glinka’s car.

The couple was taken to a hospital, where they were pronounced dead. Glinka was being treated at Stony Brook Hospital and listed in serious condition.

Investigators said that Glinka had told the police that he was drinking. They also found he may have been speeding at the time of the crash.

Officials said there is a possibility that the charges may be upgraded. The investigation is ongoing.

For grieving families, it’s important that a full investigation be conducted. For that, a wise first step is to discuss the matter with a legal professional experienced in car accidents.
