A 70-year-old man was seriously injured after a hit-and-run driver struck him in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The man, who has not been identified, was on a motorized scooter when he was hit by a white car as it was turning into 85th Street and 25th Avenue, according to reporters.
“The guy in the car sideswipes him and he feel, like, sideways and he hit his head pretty hard — and he guy in teh car look at him and he just ran off, and I was crossing mid-street, and I had to jump back because he almost hit me because was going so fast, witness Jennifer Phamy told reporters.
The victim was rushed to NYU Lutheran Medical Center in critical condition, police said.
The driver fled the scene. Police are still looking for the driver.
