Roughly 25 people were treated for non-life threatening injuries after an New Jersey Transit Bus carrying 31 passengers crashed into a tree on Monday afternoon, officials said. The accident occurred around 2 p.m. at Wainwright Street and Lyons Avenue.

“I ran out of the store along with one of the workers in the store and people were jumping out of the windows, trying to get out and they were just falling on the ground. A lady actually fell into my arms,” witness Lori Childs told reporters.

A witness said that one side of the bus, including the door and windshield, was sheared off after the accident.
