Family Injured In Hicksville Car Accident

A mother and her two young daughters were injured after a car struck them in Hicksville. The accident occurred at the intersection of Newbridge Road and West Old Country Road around 10 p.m. on Christmas Eve.

 

A 39-year-old male driver was driving along Newbridge Road/Old Country Road when the family crossed the street. The driver crashed into the mother, 42, and her two daughters, ages 4 and 11.

 

All three victims were rushed to a local hospital where they were treated for multiple internal injuries, officials said. The mother and the 4-year-old were listed in critical condition while the 11-year-old was listed in critical but stable condition. There were no other injuries reported.

 

No charges or arrests have been made. The vehicle was impounded for safety checks.
