A 34-year-old woman was in critical condition after she was struck by a car in Brooklyn on Wednesday morning, police said. The victim, whose identity has not been revealed, was crossing Flatbush Avenue Extension near Gold Street and Myrtle Avenue along with a male friend when a car hit her.
According to police, the two had entered the crosswalk against the light. The man stepped back in time while the woman kept going and was struck by the car, a witness said.
She was transported to New York Methodist Hospital, where she was listed in grave condition.
The driver remained at the scene. No charges have been filed against the driver.
