An 85-year-old woman, who has not been identified, was critically injured after she was struck by a Time Warner van in Staten Island on Thursday morning, officials said.
She was crossing the street at Christopher Lane and Victory Boulevard in Graniteville when a white van made a left turn on Christopher and struck her, police said.
The driver, whose identity has not been released, remained at the scene. Officials said that the driver, who is an EMT, assisted the woman until other emergency medical workers arrived.
The woman was rushed to Richmond University Medical Center, where she was listed in critical condition.
No charges have been made. Police are investigating the accident.
