Queens Car Crash Into Tractor Trailer Kills 1

A man was killed when his car collided with the back of a tractor-trailer on the Van Wyck Expressway in Queens, police said.

 

Tarik Williamson, 45, of Waterbury, Conn. was driving on the highway near 73rd Avenue in Kew Gardens when he hit the 2005 Kenworth tractor trailer at high speeds around 5 a.m., police said.

 

Emergency responders pronounced Williamson dead at the scene.


The 53-year-old truck driver remained on the scene and was unhurt. No charges were filed.
