Out-of-Control Car In Queens Leaves 1 Man Dead, Another Injured

One man died and his passenger was critically injured when their car sput out of control and slammed into a median in Queens on Sunday evening, officials said.

 

Jorge Bermudez, 30, was driving his silver car at Laurel Hill Boulevard and 49th Street under the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway in Maspeth when he lost control of the car. The crash pinned both Bermudez and his passenger inside.

 

Both victims were rushed to Elmhurst Hospital Center. Bermudez was pronounced dead at the hospital. His passenger was listed in critical condition, officials said.

 

Officials are investigating the cause of the one-car accident.
