A 17-year-old boy was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver on Northern Boulevard Tuesday evening, officials said.
Jaremello Ovidio of East Elmhurst was crossing the street at Junction Boulevard and Northern Boulevard when the driver of a black Toyota Camry struck him. The driver continued to drive west along Northern Boulevard, police said.
Ovidio was rushed to Elmhurst Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Police are still investigating the crash.
