A green Ford Explorer injured three people when it made a sharp turn into a McDonald’s drive-thru and hit another car, narrowly missing pedestrians on the sidewalk in Midwood, Brooklyn, witnesses said.
The car was moving northbound on Coney Island Avenue when it turned into the McDonald’s drive-thru on 18th Avenue. As it swerved, the car slammed into the front left side of a black Infiniti which caused the Infiniti to hit a tree with pedestrians nearby on the sidewalk.
The driver of the Explorer appeared to pass out after the accident, witnesses said. Passersby helped put the vehicle into park although it rolled into the opposite lane of traffic.
The driver of the Infiniti was taken to a local hospital. It was unclear what happened to the driver of the Explorer.
