S.I. Woman Killed In Single-Car Crash In Brooklyn

A woman was killed and four others were injured in a single-car crash in Brooklyn on Sunday morning, officials said. The driver faces several charges. The accident happened at the 65th Street ramp on the Belt Parkway.

Wiktoria Filc, 19, of Staten Island, was in the front-seat passenger of the car when the driver, Joseph Auteri, 19, lost control of his 2005 Accura, struck a guardrail and flipped while attempting to exit the parkway, officials said. Filc was thrown from the car. She was rushed to Lutheran Medical Center, where she was pronounced dead.

There were three other passengers in the backseat of the car. They were listed in stable condition at Lutheran Medical Center.

Auteri, of Staten Island, was charged with driving while intoxicated, second-degree vehicular manslaughter, first-degree reckless endangerment and second-degree vehicular assault. Auteri was treated for a severe arm injury from the crash, officials said.
