Former “Real Housewives of New York” star Jill Zarin, 51, was knocked unconscious and hospitalized in New York City on Friday after getting into a car crash on FDR Drive, according to various sources.
Zarin was with her publicist in the back seat of a car service riding from her Upper East Side home toward downtown Manhattan to promote her new sci-fi movie. The car suddenly slammed on the brakes and crashed into a three-car wreck at around 1 p.m., sources said.
The “Housewives” star was not wearing a seatbelt at the time. Zarin was found unconscious at the scene and was taken to the New York Presbyterian Hospital, where she later regained consciousness. She was treated for back pain and released. She was resting at home with back pains later in the day.
The premiere for Zarin’s new movie, “Night of the Wild,” will be on Saturday at 9 p.m. on the SyFy network.
“I don’t think she’ll make it to the premiere, but she’ll be OK,” a source told the New York Daily News. “These are not life-threatening injuries, which is a blessing.”
