Woman Killed By City Bus In Midtown

A 69-year-old woman was struck and killed by a MTA bus in Midtown Manhattan on Thursday morning, according to reports. The accident occurred on West 57th Street between Broadway and Eighth Avenue around 9:40 a.m.

 

Rochelle Wahrman was struck by the MTA X6 bus as she tried to cross the street mid-block, officials said. Wahrman was brought to New York Presbyterian Weill Cornell Medical Center with severe body trauma and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

 

The MTA driver remained at the scene. No charges have been made. The investigation is ongoing.
